Retrieval Component

Note

Indexing Service is no longer supported as of Windows XP and is unavailable for use as of Windows 8. Instead, use Windows Search for client side search and Microsoft Search Server Express for server side search.

 

The Retrieval component retrieves the query results and returns them to the client.

The Retrieval component consists of the following files.

File Name Description
Idq.dll ISAPI extensions for Indexing Service.
Ixsso.dll Query Helper automation objects (Query, Utility).
Ntquery.lib OLE DB Helper functions.
