Limitations of Windows Media Center Web Applications

Web-based applications have the following limitations:

  • To protect data sent to the server, web applications must use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for POST commands.
  • Web applications can only reference other UI elements that are hosted in the domain from which the application was originally launched.
  • A local Windows Media Center application cannot navigate directly to an HTTP address for a Windows Media Center web application.
