Excluding a Catalog Item or Project from Being Built in an OS Design (Windows CE 5.0)
You can exclude a project from being built when you build a run-time image based on the OS design that contains these items.
To exclude a project from being built in a run-time image
From the Platform menu, choose Settings and then choose the Image Settings tab.
Select the project you want to configure settings for, and then choose Edit.
The Edit Image Settings dialog box appears.
Configure the settings for the selected project by selecting any or all of the following options:
- To exclude the project from the build and from the run-time image, choose Exclude from build.
- To build the project but exclude it from the run-time image, choose Exclude from image.
- To always build and link the project using a debug configuration, choose Always build and link as debug.
(Optional) If you want to load project files from the release directory, from the Target menu, select Modules Loaded from Release Directory.
- To add modules, choose Add and then select the module you want to load.
- To remove modules, select the module you want to remove and then choose Remove.
