Connecting Add-ins to the Development Environment (Windows CE 5.0)

Send Feedback

After you create and build your add-in, you need to connect it to the IDE to make its commands and methods available.

To connect an add-in to the IDE

  1. On the Platform Builder Tools menu, choose Customize.

  2. Choose the Add-ins and Macro Files tab.

  3. Choose the Browse button to locate the appropriate DLL.

  4. Load the appropriate add-in by selecting the box next to its name.

A check mark indicates that the add-in is loaded. This check mark also directs Platform Builder to automatically load the add-in when you start Platform Builder again.

Note   If you remove the check mark from an add-in, you will unload it. When you unload it, the add-in loses all of its toolbar and keystroke assignments. Additionally, if you remove the check mark, Platform Builder will not automatically load the add-in when you start Platform Builder again.
