Creating End-User Documentation for a Thin Client
8/27/2008
Good end-user documentation can shorten the learning curve when your Windows Embedded CE powered thin clients are deployed to users in an enterprise network.
Types of End-User Documentation
The following list shows the types of end-user documentation that you should consider creating for users of your thin clients.
- A user's guide with instructions on how to use a thin client.
- A Quick Start reference card. Consider adding a separate, very small "Quick Reference" card with short, to-the-point instructions for the most important user tasks, useful keyboard shortcuts, and useful but hard-to-discover features.
- A Quick Start Guide. Consider creating a Quick Start Guide to explain how to set up the device for its first use, and how to get started using the device. For more information, see How to Create a Quick Start Guide for a Thin Client.
