The CESH startup server uses the Target Control Service to download and launch a file on a target device. For more information about this tool, see Core Connectivity.
By default, the CESH startup server uses the directory that contains the last run-time image loaded by Platform Builder as the release directory. After you establish a Platform Manager connection to a target device, the target device recognizes the release directory on the development workstation as a virtual file system. Any file in the release directory is visible to the target device. If you use the CESH server to copy a file to a specific directory on the target device, the CESH server also copies the file to the release directory.
