Microsoft Japanese IME Katakana and English Dictionary

The Microsoft Japanese IME Katakana and English Dictionary component contains an Input Method Editor (IME) dictionary that is used by the Microsoft Japanese IME Core component to convert Katakana words into the corresponding English words. This mechanism allows users to enter English words by entering Japanese Katakana even if the spelling of the words is unknown.

Settings

This dictionary is disabled by default. To use this dictionary, the user must enable it. To enable the dictionary, the user must open the dictionary tab on the property dialog of the IME or refer to the Help topic of the dictionary tab on the runtime system.
