Remote Registry Service

The Remote Registry Service component enables remote users to modify registry settings on this computer. If this service is stopped, the registry can be modified only by users on this computer.

Services

This component includes the Regsvc.exe service.

Associated Components

This component allows remote registry manipulation. It uses the remote procedure call (RPC) protocol to communicate over the network.

Settings

There are no configurable settings for this component.

Notes

The remote registry service is designed to work with the RPC service.
