When you select an object in the SLD browser in Windows XP Embedded Component Designer, its properties are displayed in the details pane. Before you create components or other objects, you may want to set defaults for the Owners, Authors, Vendor, or Copyright properties.
To set default object properties
- In Windows XP Embedded Component Designer, from the Tools menu, choose Options.
- Choose the Object Defaults tab.
- Choose Auto-fill each new object with these defaults when it is created.
- In the Owners box, type the name or e-mail address of the component owner. You can list more than one owner.
- In the Authors box, type the name or e-mail address of the component author. You can list more than one author.
- In the Vendor box, type the name of the component vendor, usually the company name.
- In the Copyright box, type the appropriate copyright information, for example, 2004 company name.
- Choose OK.
Every new component that you add will have these data fields automatically filled. This information can be changed in a component's details pane.
