Editing Component Settings

After you add a component to a configuration, you can customize the component by changing its settings. These settings vary from component to component. Some macro components allow you to specify which of their dependencies to include in the configuration. Other components allow you to define how they will behave on the target device. For every component, you can specify whether to include Help files for the component and whether to enable a multilanguage user interface.

To edit component settings in Target Designer

  1. In Windows XP Embedded Target Designer, open the configuration.

  2. In the configuration editor, expand the Components node.

  3. Expand the node for the component that you want to edit and choose Settings.

The settings for this component are displayed on one or more tabs in the details pane.

  4. Change the settings.
