The output pane in Windows XP Embedded Target Designer can be docked to its default location in the Windows XP Embedded Target Designer window or it can be undocked and moved anywhere on the screen.
To toggle the output pane between docked and undocked
When the output pane is docked, double-click the bar at the left edge of the output pane. The output pane becomes undocked and can be moved, resized, and closed like a standard window.

When the output pane is undocked, double-click the title bar of the Output window. The output pane becomes docked to its default location.
