CoinAcceptor.DataEventEnabled Property (POS for .NET v1.12 SDK Documentation)

2/27/2008

Gets or sets the Boolean value that indicates whether a DataEvent event is delivered when input data is queued.

Namespace: Microsoft.PointOfService
Assembly: Microsoft.PointOfService (in microsoft.pointofservice.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public MustOverride Property DataEventEnabled As Boolean
public abstract bool DataEventEnabled { get; set; }
public:
virtual property bool DataEventEnabled {
    bool get () abstract;
    void set (bool value) abstract;
}
/** @property */
public abstract boolean get_DataEventEnabled ()

/** @property */
public abstract void set_DataEventEnabled (boolean value)
public abstract function get DataEventEnabled () : boolean

public abstract function set DataEventEnabled (value : boolean)

Remarks

If true, a DataEvent is delivered as soon as input data is queued. If this property is changed to true while input data is already in the queue, a DataEvent event is delivered immediately. This event may be delayed if FreezeEvents is true or if another event is already being processed at the application. In this case, the DataEvent remains queued until it can be processed.

If false, input data is queued for later delivery to the application. Also, if an input error occurs, the ErrorEvent is not delivered while DataEventEnabled is false.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread-safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread-safe.
