Configuring Your Device Connection

USB Configuration

You can set the USB name for your device using the following procedure.

  1. From the main menu of MFDeploy, choose Target and then Configuration.
  2. Click USB Name.
  3. In the dialog box that appears, enter the name for the device. This name is displayed when the device is connected to a USB port.

Network Configuration

To configure your device's network connection, do the following.

  1. From the main menu of MFDeploy, choose Target and then Configuration.

  2. Click Network.

  3. The dialog box shown below appears.

    Change the network configuration settings by entering the new information into the dialog box and then clicking the Update button.

Note

Updating a device's network configuration requires the device to be rebooted.
