This topic describes the named events in Connection Manager that are used to interact with Bluetooth Hands-Free Profile (HFP) and Bluetooth Pairing Service functionality.

Events

Event Description

HFPPHONE_VOICEACTIVE_EVENT

Indicates that the HFP service is busy with the phone. For example, this might indicate that the HFP service is trying to dial a phone number, answer an incoming call, or that it has an active phone call in progress.

BTPHONE_PHONEPRESENT_EVENT

Indicates that a paired phone is currently connected through the HFP profile.

Remarks

When Windows Embedded NavReady Update 954747 is installed, these events are used to communicate availability of the Bluetooth phone for establishing DUN connections, and also to communicate the status of hands-free phone calls made by using the paired Bluetooth phone.
