Unattended Installation
2/16/2009
You can automatically install Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 in an unattended environment by using an answer file. Unattended installation is typically selected to deploy the same configuration on many local or networked computers. All unattended installations require an answer file that contains your predetermined responses to POSReady Setup. Answer files can be created in several ways, or you can modify one of the existing answer files that are included in this section.
Answer File Methods
There are three ways that you can create a POSReady answer file:
- By using the answer file schema definition to write your own answer file. See Answer File Reference for more information.
- By using the provided sample answer files and modifying the contents to your requirements. See Sample Answer File for more information.
- By using the /guionly switch during interactive Setup. See POSReady Setup and the Command Line for more information.
