AMD G-Series Development Kit (Compact 2013)

10/16/2014

Windows Embedded Compact 2013 includes a board support package (BSP) for the AMD DB-FT1 Development Board, which uses an AMD G-Series processor and an A55E controller hub. When you install Platform Builder for Windows Embedded Compact 2013 with support for x86 processors, Platform Builder creates the following folder: %_WINCEROOT%\Platform\GSeries

This folder contains the Platform.bib file and other configuration files, the catalog items for the BSP, and source code for the boot loader, drivers, kernel independent transport layer (KITL), and OEM adaptation layer (OAL).

Supported Features

The following table lists the features available in the DB-FT1 Development Board BSP. For more information about the hardware and software limitations for this platform, see the release notes that came with the development kit.

Note

There is a difference between TI/ARM and x86 systems during start-up. On TI/ARM processor the FTP server is loaded during boot-up but on x86 the FTP server is not. In TI_3730 and TI_4470 the FTP server can be started directly by ftp://<ipaddress>. On x86 targets, the user must fire IOCTL to start the FTP server.
