Target Device Connectivity Options: Kernel Download Settings (Compact 2013)
3/26/2014
Use this dialog box to configure the Kernel Download service that you chose on the Target Device Connectivity Options: Kernel Service Map page. If the service is Ethernet, Platform Builder displays the Ethernet Download Settings dialog box. If the service is USB, Platform Builder displays the USB Kitl Settings dialog box.
Ethernet Download Settings
This dialog box allows you to specify a boot name for the target device. The boot name is the name that the device provides with its BOOTME messages. Once you specify a boot name for a target device, Platform Builder looks for the name in BOOTME messages when you ask it to attach to the target device.
- Target device boot name
The boot name assigned to the target device. The field is blank if no boot name is assigned. You provide a boot name by typing it into this field, or by selecting it from the Active target devices field. Platform Builder assigns the boot name to the device when you press the Apply button.
- Active target devices
A list of boot names, each of which is the boot name of a target device that has sent a BOOTME message containing the name. Click a name to select it to appear in Target device boot name field.
- Apply
Assign the boot name in the Target device boot name field to the target device, and close the dialog box.
- Cancel
Close the dialog box without assigning a boot name to the target device.
Usb Kitl Settings
This dialog box allows you to specify settings for a USB device. You can specify either AutoSelect or a specific USB port and hub.
