WPA2 (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)
1/6/2010
WPA2 is based on the final IEEE amendment to the 802.11 standard. WPA2 provides a stronger encryption mechanism through Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).
The following topics define the requirements for supporting WPA2 on an 802.11 device.
In This Section
- Driver Requirements for WPA2
Describes what the 802.11 miniport driver must support in order to be considered WPA2-capable by the operating system.
- Determining WPA2 Capability
Describes how the operating system determines whether the 802.11 miniport driver is WPA2-capable.
- WPA2 Pre-Authentication
Describes how the 802.11 miniport driver supports WPA2 pre-authentication and PMKID caching.
- WPA2 Association Requirements
Describes how the 802.11 miniport driver must be configured before it can associate by using WPA2.
