PhCommon Reference (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

1/6/2010

This language reference section contains descriptions of the PhCommon programming elements. PhCommon is a dynamic link library (PhCommon.dll) that implements the common control and User Interface (UI) functionality. It ensures that all IP Phone client (Windows Embedded CE and custom OEM) applications have a consistent user experience (shared bitmaps, colors, dialog layout etc). It also exposes the APIs of the other IP Phone Suite components. This enables centralized access to tasks that are common across all client applications.

The PhCommon source code is included in Windows Embedded CE and can therefore be modified. PhCommon should be considered sample code that you can use as a base for developing your own needed functionality.

Note

As described in the Microsoft License Terms for Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Toolkit, PhCommon was delivered to you as "Sample Code" in source code form. This software is provided "as is". You bear the risk of using it. Microsoft does not provide support services for it. Future versions of PhCommon are not guaranteed to be backwards compatible. Any current version of PhCommon functionality does not imply any past, future or continued functionality.

For more information about PhCommon, see VoIP Phone Functionality in Windows Embedded CE.
