The following table shows the month calendar controls notifications, with a description of the purpose of each.

Programming element	Description
MCN_GETDAYSTATE	This message is sent by a month calendar control to request information about how individual days should be displayed.
MCN_SELCHANGE	This message is sent by a month calendar control whenever the currently selected date or range of dates changes.
MCN_SELECT	This message is sent by a month calendar control whenever the user makes an explicit date selection within a month calendar control.
MCN_SELECTNONE	This message is sent by a month calendar control whenever the user makes an explicit selection of the None button within a month calendar control.
