Troubleshooting EWF (Standard 7 SP1)
7/8/2014
This section describes how to troubleshoot common Enhanced Write Filter (EWF) configuration problems. EWF write-protects one or more volumes on a system and enables booting from read-only media, such as flash memory. You can deploy EWF on many media types and configurations.
If you are having trouble with EWF, make sure that you've done the following:
- Verified that the system meets the requirements described in EWF System Requirements.
- Verified that your device has sufficient RAM to store overlay data in system memory. For more information, see Configure EWF RAM Mode and Configure EWF RAM Reg Mode.
