Remote Tools Server COM API Reference (Compact 7)

3/12/2014

The Remote Tools Server API is a COM-based API that is an abstraction layer over the Core Connectivity Native API. It is used by the Remote Tools Framework internally, with a focus on essential functionality for remote tool connectivity.

This language reference section contains descriptions of the desktop-side native COM API Remote Tools Server programming elements.

You can use this API to integrate a native desktop application with the Remote Tools Framework without using the Remote Tools Framework Shell.

The following figure shows a Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagram of the IRemoteToolCommand, IRemoteToolServer, IRemoteToolDevice, IRemoteToolDeviceDataStore, and IRemoteToolStream interfaces.
