Modify a Value Stored in a Registry Entry (Compact 7)

You can change the data values stored in the registry on a Windows Embedded Compact powered device by using the Remote Registry Editor.

To change a data value for a registry entry

  1. In the left pane of the Remote Tools Shell window, click the Registry node for your device.

  2. In the middle pane of the Remote Tools Shell window, expand the registry tree.

  3. In the right pane of the Remote Tools Shell window, click the registry entry that contains the value that you want to change.

  4. On the Registry Editor menu, click Modify.

  5. In the Set Value dialog box, under Value Type, select the entry whose value you want to change.

  6. In the Value Data box, type the new registry value.

  7. Click OK.

Your modified data value now appears under Data in the right pane of the Remote Tools Shell window.
