HardwareUpgradeURL (Standard 8 Module Reference)

Review the applicable Feature modules and any examples for the HardwareUpgradeURL setting in Windows Embedded 8 Standard (Standard 8).

This setting contains the URL to a site that contains component subscores for the Performance Information and Tools item in Control Panel.

A hardware component’s subscore is a performance metric generated by Windows System Assessment Tool (Windows SAT).For example, a video card rated with a gaming and graphics subscore of 5.8 is better at rendering 3D visuals than a video card with a score of 1.1. The Windows Experience Index base score of the device is determined by the lowest subscore of an individual component.
