RemoteOrderDisplay.ClearOutput Method (POS for .NET v1.12 SDK Documentation)

Clears all outputs that have been buffered for the unit specified by the CurrentUnitId property. This includes video and tone outputs.

Remarks

Any output complete and output error events that are enqueued, usually waiting for DataEventEnabled to be set to true and FreezeEvents to be set to false, are also cleared.

ClearOutput may cause a PosControlException exception to be thrown with the following ErrorCode:

The device is claimed by another process.

NotClaimed

The device must be claimed before ClearOutput can be used.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread-safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread-safe.
