Gets the current state of the device.

Remarks

Possible values are defined by the ControlState enumeration.

State is set to ControlState.Idle by the Open method and is always readable, regardless of the state of the device. Changes in State cause POS for .NET to queue a StateChangedEvent event.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread-safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread-safe.
