Touch Panel Test (Windows CE 5.0)

The Touch Panel Test tests the application programming interface (API) for a driver for a touch panel as defined in the Tchddi.h header file. This test verifies the capabilities of the driver, attempts to calibrate the touch panel, and ensures that the driver and touch panel hardware are working properly.

Note   The Touch Panel Test does not test mouse drivers. For information about testing mouse drivers, see Mouse Test.

The following table shows the hardware requirements for the Touch Panel Test.

Requirements Description
Touch panel Depending upon the type of touch panel that is used, a pointing device such as a stylus may also be required.

The following table shows the software requirements for the Touch Panel Test.

Requirements Description
Tux.exe Tux test harness, which is required for executing the test.
Kato.dll Kato logging engine, which is required for logging test data.
Tooltalk.dll Application required by Tux.exe and Kato.dll. Handles the transport between the target device and the development workstation.
Touchtest.dll Test .dll file.
Touch.dll Touch panel driver.

Note   When you run the Touch Panel Test, the CETK temporarily copies files to the root directory of the target device. Before running the test, verify that there is at least 0.4 megabytes (MB) of free space in the root directory of the target device. If there is not sufficient space in the root directory of the target device, the test cannot run.
