MSMQQueueInfo.CreateTime (Windows CE 5.0)

This read-only property indicates when the public queue or private queue was created.

Parameters

  • pvarCreateTime
    Date and time when the queue was created.

Return Values

The following table describes the common return values.

Value Description
S_OK Success
E_INVALIDARG One or more arguments are invalid
E_NOTIMPL The function contains no implementation
E_OUTOFMEMORY Out of memory

Remarks

Message Queuing sets this property, storing the value of the property when the queue is created.

Locating Queues Based on Create Time

The MSMQQueueInfo.CreateTime property can be used as search criteria when making a query of existing public queues.

Retrieving the Create Time

To retrieve the stored create time of a queue, call the MSMQQueueInfo.Refresh method and inspect the MSMQQueueInfo.CreateTime property.

Message Queuing stores the create time in the directory service for public queues and on the local computer for private queues.

The local value of MSMQQueueInfo object is not updated until the MSMQQueueInfo.Refresh method is called.

Equivalent Function property

When using function calls, the date and time the queue was created can be retrieved using the PROPID_Q_CREATE_TIME property.
