MSMQQueueInfo.IsWorldReadable (Windows CE 5.0)

This read-only property indicates whether everyone can read the messages in the queue.

This property is superseded by the MSMQQueueInfo.IsWorldReadable2 property (introduced in MSMQ 3.0).

Parameters

  • pisWorldReadable
    Indicates whether everyone can read the messages in the queue.

Value Description
S_OK Success
E_INVALIDARG One or more arguments are invalid
E_NOTIMPL The function contains no implementation
E_OUTOFMEMORY Out of memory

Remarks

Message Queuing initially sets this property based on the IsWorldReadable parameter of the MSMQQueueInfo.Create method.

After the queue is created, Message Queuing resets IsWorldReadable when the security descriptor of the queue is changed to allow or disallow read access to everyone.

For information on security descriptors and access control, see COM Access Control.

This property has no effect on sending messages to the queue.
