Setting up the SMDK2410 Samsung MCU Development Kit Hardware

You need to set up and connect the SMDK2410 Samsung MCU Development Kit to a development workstation before you can download the Windows CE boot loader to your SDB.

To setup the SMDK2410 Samsung MCU Development Kit hardware

  1. Connect the power supply to both the CPU board and the LCD display.

    Note   Make sure that the red switch is set from 230 VAC to 115 VAC.

  2. If you are downloading the Windows CE boot loader for the first time, on the baseboard, connect the serial cable provided to the serial port marked COM1, and connect the other end to your host system.

    - or -

    If you already have the Windows CE boot loader installed on the SMDK2410 Samsung MCU Development Kit, on the baseboard, connect the serial cable provided to the serial port marked COM2, and connect the other end to your host system.

  3. Unless a MAC address is already stored in the system flash memory, verify that there is a MAC address sticker on the baseboard.

  4. Verify that the jumper settings on your baseboard are correct.
