CEPC-based SDBs (Windows CE 5.0)
A CEPC–based SDB enables you to develop Windows CE–based applications and device drivers on an x86-based hardware platform. The Windows CE OS supports the family of x86 processors from 486SX and later.
A CEPC–based SDB is useful when, for example, you write new device drivers for integrated circuits (IC) or chips that are available on ISA or PCI boards. The drivers can be loaded into a CEPC–based SDB and used for application development while you are still developing custom hardware. A PC–based SDB also gives you a readily available hardware platform to test and evaluate the features of the Windows CE OS.
