IConman::GetServerFromServerGuid (Windows CE 5.0)

This method retrieves a pointer to the server object interface used for connection to the datastore.

Parameters

  • in_guidServer
    The GUID of the server/
  • out_ppunkServer
    Pointer to the object interface for the server.

Return Values

The following table shows return values for this method.

Value Description
S_OK Indicates the call was successful.
E_CONMAN_GUIDNOTFOUND Indicates the server ID is invalid.
E_INVALIDARG Indicates one or more arguments were null.
E_FAIL Indicates a non-specific failure.

Remarks

If the server has not been created, the method creates the server, then attempts to connect and cache the resulting interface.

If the connection attempt fails, the method returns an error and purges the GUID from the cache.
