IVoIPMgr::Call (Windows CE 5.0)

This method places a new call. It places all currently connected calls on hold, makes a call to a specified URI, and retrieves the associated call object.

HRESULT Call(   BSTRbstrURI,IVoIPCurrentCall**ppiCurrentCall);

Parameters

  • bstrURI
    [in] The URI to call.
  • ppiCurrentCall
    [out] Pointer to an IVoIPCurrentCall interface pointer that receives the current call object created by the VoIP manager. This method adds a reference to the object. The caller releases this reference.

Return Values

The following table shows the possible return values. The method can also return an error from the current media manager. In addition, the method can return an RTC_E_ constant.

Value Description
VOIP_E_NOTINITIALIZED Manager not initialized.

Remarks

Asynchronous results of a call to this method are posted to the IVoIPUI::OnCallEvent method. A status change event is issued.
