Startup Server Additions to an SDK (Windows CE 5.0)

You can allow Platform Manager to start a Platform Manager transport in eMbedded Visual C++ by supporting a startup server in your SDK. This enables your SDK to initiate a connection to a target device.

You must select at least one startup server for your SDK.

For more information about startup servers, and for a complete list of the startup servers that Platform Manager supports, see Startup Server Selection.

**Note   **Core Connectivity replaces Platform Manager and provides a connectivity infrastructure that is similar to the infrastructure that Platform Manager provides. Use the Core Connectivity API. In Windows CE 5.0, do not use the Platform Manager API except in code that does not need to be compatible with future releases of Windows CE. For more information about Core Connectivity, see Core Connectivity Infrastructure.

For a complete list of the startup servers that Core Connectivity supports, see Core Connectivity.
