Forcing a VBScript Macro to Quit Running

  1. Choose the macro's icon on the taskbar.

    When you choose the icon, the IDE displays a dialog box telling you that the macro will be terminated, and then displays a red circle with a slash across the icon. Typically, this circle appears for only a fraction of a second and disappears as soon as the macro quits. However, if the circle remains, the macro is executing an instruction. When the macro completes the instruction, the circle disappears and the macro quits. You cannot interrupt or speed up execution of this instruction.

  2. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to end the task, if the macro does not quit and the IDE stops responding.
