Gdi::StartDocW_I (Windows CE 5.0)

This method starts a print job.

Parameters

  • hdc
    [in] Handle to the device context for the print job.
  • lpdi
    [in] Long pointer to a DOCINFO structure that contains the name of the document file and the name of the output file.

Return Values

This value is the print job identifier for the document.

A value greater than zero indicates success.

A value less than or equal to zero indicates failure.

To get extended error information, call GetLastError.

Remarks

This method is an internal version of the StartDoc function.

Applications should call the Gdi::StartDoc_I method immediately before beginning a print job. Using this method ensures that multipage documents are not interspersed with other print jobs.

Windows CE does not support printing to files and ignores the lpszOutput member of the DOCINFO structure.

Requirements

OS Versions: Windows CE .NET 4.0 and later.
Header: Gdi.hpp.
