Updating the Database Engine

If your database engine is Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (MSDE), you can use this option to install the latest MSDE updates. If you are using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 for your database engine, you can skip this option.

To update the database engine

  1. Insert Windows XP Embedded Disc 3 in the computer that you use for your component database.

    The Windows XP Embedded start page is displayed.

  2. Choose Database Engine Update, and follow the instructions on your screen.
