Updating the Component Database

You can update the component database and repositories with Windows XP Embedded with Service Pack 2. This update includes many new or updated components, including Windows Firewall, Wireless Configuration, security enhancements, and more.

To update the component database

  1. Insert Windows XP Embedded Disc 3 in the computer that you use for your component database.

    The Windows XP Embedded start page is displayed.

  2. Choose Database Update, and follow the instructions on your screen.
