DTM Policies

A DTM policy is a setting on the controller that controls the behavior and actions of DTM.

The following table lists predefined DTM policies and their default values. The default value of a policy is the value defined when the client was installed. Some policies require the client computer to be restarted to take effect.

Specifies the number of minutes that DTM should wait for a heartbeat from a peer computer. If the time expires before receiving a heartbeat from a peer computer, the job is canceled.

Specifies a Boolean flag to indicate whether DTM should copy the infra logs if job passed. The default value is FALSE, which will not copy the infra logs. Note that infra logs are always copied if the job fails.

Specifies a Boolean flag to indicate whether DTM should ignore unexpected restarts. The default value is FALSE to, which will ignore unexpected restarts. This policy should not be set to TRUE unless the test team has a custom method to detect unexpected restarts.

Specifies the number of minutes that DTM should wait for Session 0 of Autologon. DTM will not wait if this policy is set to 0 seconds.
