View Nodes
Applies To: Microsoft HPC Pack 2008 R2, Microsoft HPC Pack 2012, Microsoft HPC Pack 2012 R2
In HPC Cluster Manager, you can view cluster nodes in two ways: the List view displays node properties and metrics in rows and columns, and the Heat Map view displays node health metrics graphically.
The two views provide customizable, at-a-glance information to help you monitor your cluster. The node views also provide a starting point for identifying problem areas, drilling down into details, and performing actions on one or more nodes.
To view nodes
In Node Management, in the Navigation Pane, click Nodes to see all nodes in the cluster.
Alternatively, in the Navigation Pane, click an item under By Node Health, By Node State, By Group, By Node Template, or By Location to see a subset of nodes in your cluster.
Note
You can specify the node location information (data center, rack, and chassis) in the node location property in the node XML or by selecting a node and clicking Edit.
A list of nodes (List view) appears in the view pane.
In the view pane, click Heat Map to switch to Heat Map view or click a custom tab that you have created. The node filters that you apply persist across all tabs, and the nodes that you select in one tab are selected when you go to a different tab.
Double-click a node to see detailed information about the node such as health, properties, operations and provisioning logs.
