Hardware Support
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional supports a broad range of hardware, including many new devices not previously supported in Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, or Microsoft Windows NT 4.0. Windows 2000 also includes enhanced support for older devices. Newly supported system buses, such as Universal Serial Bus (USB) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 1394, further enhance hardware support functionality in Windows 2000 Professional.
