The Windows® Automated Installation Kit (Windows AIK) is a set of tools and documentation that support the configuration and the deployment of Windows® operating systems. This guide describes the current methods, tools, and requirements for deploying Windows.

The Windows Automated Installation Kit (Windows AIK) Users' Guide helps you to install, customize, and deploy the supported Windows operating systems. This guide provides instructions on how to use the tools included in this kit.

Build Your First Automated Installation

To quickly build your first automated installation, see the Step-by-Step: Basic Windows Deployment for IT Pros white paper. This step-by-step guide shows you how to create a basic unattended Windows installation. This guide is ideal for new users who want to learn the basics of Windows deployment.
