Combine two homegroups
Applies To: Windows Home Server 2011
If you belong to a homegroup on one network and then you connect to a second network that has an existing homegroup, you'll be prompted to join the existing one. This combines the two homegroups into one big homegroup that includes everyone in the two original homegroups. Combining homegroups won't change anyone's access to homegroup resources or what they're already sharing.
To combine two homegroups
- When you are prompted to join an existing homegroup, type the password of the homegroup you're joining, and then click Next.
