If you need to troubleshoot the upgrade process, you can find detailed process and error information that is recorded by the export and import scripts in the following folders on the head node: %CCP_DATA%
and %CCP_DATA%\Backup
. For example: C:\Program Files\Microsoft HPC Pack\Data\Backup
. If you see any errors while the scripts are running, you can review the information related to those errors in the files that are created in those folders. Look for files with the following two file extensions: .log
and .err
.
The %CCP_DATA%\Backup
folder on the head node also contains all the data, files, and other information from the previous version. If the import process for any of the files in the previous version fails, you can attempt to manually import them by using HPC Cluster Manager or HPC PowerShell.
Additionally, if you need to troubleshoot the installation process of any of the Mayn features in Windows® HPC Server 2008 R2, you can find the installation log files in the following folder: %windir%\Temp\HPCSetupLogs
. Look for log files that have the date and time of the last upgrade attempt.
