Stop, start, pause, or resume services

To stop, start, pause, or resume services

  1. Open Computer Management.

  2. In the console tree, click Services.

    Where?

    • Computer Management/Services and Applications/Services
  3. Double-click the service you want to change, and then click Start, Stop, Pause, or Resume as appropriate.

    To change the startup type (for example, to specify manual startup), on the General tab, under Startup, click the arrow, and then click Automatic, Manual, or Disabled.

Note

  • To open Computer Management, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Computer Management.
