Stop Phone Book Service
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2
To stop Phone Book Service
Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS).
Double-click the name of your server.
If Phone Book Service is running in its own process, double-click the default Web site for your server. Right-click PBServer, and click Properties.
If Phone Book Service is not running in its own process, right-click the default Web site for your server, and click Properties. Click the Home Directory tab.
In the Application Settings area, click Unload, and click OK.
Caution
- If you unload applications from the Home Directory tab of Default Web Site Properties, you will unload all Web applications for the default Web server that are not running in their own processes. You might need to restart some or all of your Web applications manually.
Note
- To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. If the computer is joined to a domain, members of the Domain Admins group might be able to perform this procedure.
