Managing Terminal Services connection files

Remote Desktop Connection allows administrators and users to set up predefined connection files to servers for single program or full desktop access. By using Remote Desktop Connection, you can save connection information and settings to a connection file that is saved in the My Documents/Remote Desktops folder with the .rdp extension. This way, for example, an administrator who wants to provide a single line-of-business program across the computing environment can create the connection file, and distribute that file to all desktops.

For information on how to use the Remote Desktop Connection to save connection settings to a file, see Create a connection file.
