Start the Password Synchronization daemon

Applies To: Windows Server 2003 R2

  • Run the single sign-on daemon (SSOD).

Note

There is no other method for this procedure. The sso.conf file must be in the /etc/ directory. If you see no errors, the daemon is running. If anything goes wrong during the initialization of the daemon, an error message is displayed on the console. Some errors might also be logged to the Syslog file. If you want your service to start automatically, add the single sign-on daemon (SSOD) to your system startup files (typically Rc.local). This will start SSOD as root.
