To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. If the computer is joined to a domain, members of the Domain Admins group might be able to perform this procedure. As a security best practice, consider using Run as to perform this procedure.
To open Licensing, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Licensing.

The three tabs in the Properties dialog box for a server product show the following information.

Tab	Shows
Clients	Users have used the server product in Per Device or Per User licensing mode.
Purchase History	The date, quantity, and administrator for license purchases. You can add or delete licenses.
Server Browser	The license mode for servers in the site and the number of licenses for Per Server mode. You can add or remove Per Server licenses, change the licensing mode, or configure replication of licensing information.
