Enable logging
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2
To enable logging
Open Network Connections.
On the Advanced menu, click Remote Access Preferences.
On the Diagnostics tab, do one or more of the following:
To enable logging for all remote access connections, select the Enable logging check box.
To clear logs created during a previous connection, click Clear Log.
To generate a report, click Generate Report.
If you clicked Generate Report in the previous step, do one of the following:
To view the diagnostic report, click View report.
To save the report to a file, click Save report to this file, and specify the location and the name of the file you want to create. Specify the location by typing it or by clicking Browse and browsing to the location you want.
To send the report to an e-mail address, click Send report to this e-mail address, and type the e-mail address to which you want to send the report.
To quickly generate a more concise report, select the Generate summary report check box.
Notes
To open Network Connections, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network Connections.
Creating a diagnostic report in HTML can take several minutes. If you need only configuration and installation information, you can create a summary report.
